Federico --
I've been working in politics for quite a few years now. I've seen more than my fair share of political ads.
But I've never seen anything as heartbreaking and moving as the video Bernie Sanders's campaign recently released about Erica Garner -- the daughter of Eric Garner, whose final gasps of "I can't breathe" were captured in a shocking video of his brutal choking death by NYPD officers two years ago.
Erica's story will break your heart. But her resilience in the face of injustice and her drive to fight back are so inspiring. The video speaks powerfully about the moment of crisis and opportunity we face now in America -- and why Bernie Sanders and our political revolution is what we need to face it -- in a way nothing else really could.

Bernie's campaign is currently airing a 2-minute version of Erica's video as a TV ad in South Carolina and other states that will be voting soon. We know this powerful story has the potential to change votes -- but 2-minute ads are expensive, and Bernie doesn't have a super PAC waiting to foot the bill.
Will you help us make sure as many voters as possible in South Carolina and the Super Tuesday states see this incredible ad before they vote? Please watch it now, and then consider chipping in $3 or more to Bernie's campaign to keep it on the air (as well as to DFA for our relentless campaigning in support of Bernie).

As Bernie has talked about often, "politics as usual" hasn't been able to adequately address the most important issues facing our country -- including, as we have seen tragically time and time again, the life-and-death consequences of our failure to root out systemic racism in our criminal justice system.
Putting an end to police brutality in communities of color is going to take boldness and a willingness to take on the status quo. And, as Erica talks about passionately, she believes Bernie gets that:

"Our people died for this. Martin Luther King died for this. Malcolm X died for this. And who were they? They was protesters. I'm behind anyone who's going to listen and speak up for us and I think we need to believe in a leader like Bernie Sanders... I believe Bernie Sanders is a protester."
What Erica is saying is important, and voters in South Carolina and the Super Tuesday states need to hear it before they vote. Will you watch her TV ad right now, and then consider chipping in $3 or more to help Bernie keep it on the air through Super Tuesday (as well as support DFA's campaign to help Bernie win)?
Thanks for watching Erica's powerful video. If you are as inspired by it as I am, please share it with your friends and family today.
